The association’s services will be designed to support the enormous change in the way that FHTs will require physicians and allied health professionals work together. Thus:

• membership in the FHT Association would be open to FHTs and their physicians and allied health professionals, to ensure collaboration and dialogue between those involved at all stages of a FHT’s development
• the board of the FHT Association would include both physician, allied health professional representatives, and members of the public.
• the FHT Association’s mandate will emphasize cross-disciplinary teamwork/collaboration
• the FHT Association will promote the FHT approach to the general public to reinforce support for this initiative.
